It’s November – and the Ladies Who Stitch are thankful for many things that enable us to flourish. Here are just a few of our blessings:

    • The friendliness, dedication, creativity, and multiple talents and skills that each person brings to our working Mondays
    • The many hours that knitters, sewers, crafters and organizers spend creating things at home
    • The support of the Ladies
Benevolent Society (LBS) by acknowledging our contributions to FCCOL and for paying for many expenses incurred over the years such as: carpentry repair of the stairs to our storage area in the Sheffield  balcony;  purchase of 5 heavy duty rolling shelves on which we store our sewing machines and fabric – these shelves allow us to easily set up and put away things when we’re done working; and reimbursement when purchase of fabric or other supplies are necessary
    • The generous donations of fabric, yarn notions, machines, and money from many sources
    • Inclusion in the Partnership Store – with Tribal Crafts, Haitian arts, and Palestinian goods
    • Purchases made by everyone who shops with us – including ourselves as we are often our own best customers
    • Personnel who clean and set up the Sheffield for us weekly
    • Visitors who stop in on Mondays just to see what’s we’re doing – and also sometimes shop with us
    • New members who keep us growing.

It takes a village – and FCCOL is a special one.
