Integrated Refugee & Immigrant Services (IRIS) Candlelight Vigil
Wednesday evening, February 5th, at 6:00 pm, FCCOL will be hosting a candlelight vigil in support of IRIS. IRIS has helped our town Refugee Committee resettle families from around the world here in Old Lyme (and indeed, all up and down the Shoreline and all around the state) for more than a decade. They have been threatened with a devastating loss of federal funding, a threat that has not gone away – even if it has been blocked for the time being. Friends of IRIS from around the Shoreline and state are invited to attend on Wednesday, with the intention of demonstrating our support, and raising donations for IRIS as well.
