These are the households of families who receive diapers on a monthly basis through the Diaper Bank. In September, we distributed diapers for 96 babies and toddlers.
Diapers are constant, costly, and not covered by assistance programs.
The National Diaper Bank Network reports that their diaper banks saw an 86% increase in the numbers of diapers distributed since the pandemic began. It is estimated that 14% of a family’s monthly income is needed for diapers.
An unmet diaper need is also cited as the top mental health stressor for new parents.
Our next Diaper Bank distribution is October 1st. Sizes 3, 4, and 5 are in great demand.
