Friends Are Joyful!
During March we will discover the act of being a JOYFUL friend. In the Deep Blue Kids Bible we read in James 1:2 “My brothers and sisters, think of all the various tests you encounter as occasions for joy.” We will explore this as we meet during the month through stories, projects, and activities.
March 6: “This is the day that the Lord has made, Let us rejoice and be glad in it! “ Sets the tone for the day. We will be thinking about Lent this morning and think about all that there is to be JOYful for.
Our PF will be meeting (4-6 pm) to learn more about the Witness Stones and to complete a service project together to preserve the stones. Afterwards, we’ll enJOY “make your own” outdoor pizzas together!
March 13: Job 8:21: “He will once again fill your mouth with laughter and your lips with shouts of joy.” This morning we will consider how do you show joy? How can you help to bring joy to the lives of others?
March 20, 10 am: Confirmation Class will host Hospitality Sunday, The Confirmation Class will host our Sunday morning hospitality hour after church and PF will participate in a labyrinth walk .
During God’s Neighborhood we will be looking at Ecclesiastes 3:4, “A time to cry and a time to laugh.” We will explore times when we cry and think about times when we are filled with Joy. As we participate in our own labyrinth walk we will think of all the twists and turns in life where we experience both emotions.
March 27, 10 am: We will finish the month by celebrating the JOY of spring while reading Song of Solomon 2:11-15.
