Join us on Friday, June 9, at 7:00 in the Sheffield Auditorium, as FCCOL, the Long Wharf Theater and PARJE (Public Art for Racial Justice Education) team up to screen an important new film, I Am: Muslim/American, produced by the Long Wharf Theater. This community-based project aims to share stories of Muslim Americans, showcase their experiences, and begin meaningful dialogue with Muslim and non-Muslim communities throughout Connecticut. The film iis based on interviews with Muslim Americans, centering around a “Muslim mosaic” and painting the truth in contrast to the frequent demonization of Muslims in the media. The film will be followed by a conversation led by Ghoufran Allibabidi, President of the Tree of Life Educational Fund.
