There have recently been several questions regarding ventilation in the Meetinghouse, both regarding temperature and Covid mitigation. Specifically for Covid mitigation we have installed 6 exhaust fans in the balcony windows that draw outside air from the partially open windows on the main floor. Thus, air will constantly move upward from the partially open windows and out through those fans in the balcony. There is additional fresh air input from the heating system air handler that runs continuously during the services. This combined system completely changes the air in the Meetinghouse about 5 times per hour. Officials from the Yale School of Public Health have looked at the system and judged it adequate for this purpose. So….even though people may not feel a breeze, the air is being constantly refreshed.
