IRIS has helped our town’s Refugee Committee resettle families from around the world here in Old Lyme – and indeed, all up and down the Shoreline and all around the state – for more than a decade.  They have been threatened with a devastating loss of federal funding – a threat that has not gone away, even if it has been blocked for the time being.  Friends of IRIS from around the Shoreline and state are invited to attend a prayer vigil on Wednesday, with the intention of demonstrating our support and raising donations for IRIS.
