About Us

For those who want to make the world a better place and don’t want to do it alone.

We believe God loves you. No exceptions.

FCCOL is a community that’s asking life’s biggest questions, exploring the sacred, striving to embody love and working for justice, inclusion, and transformation in our world.

We believe the point of church isn’t to make us more religious but to help us all become more awake, alive, and fully human.

We believe protest marches are holy, soup kitchens are sacred, and the work of building a more just and compassionate world is why we’re on this planet.

We believe all bodies are signatures of the divine, and God loves our bodies as well as our minds, hearts, and spirits.

We believe that what we believe is a lot less important than how much we love.

Let’s get to know each other! If the “church” part of our name makes you uncomfortable, we get it. Here’s what we mean by “all are welcome.”

Here are a few other things you should know about us.

We’re Experiential

Rather than strict theological orthodoxy, we celebrate an intuitive and experience-based faith. Think less about right beliefs, more about right action.

We’re Love-Based

Our compass is always love, guided by grace, compassion, and forgiveness.

We Like a Little Bit of Everything

We have an inclusive, expansive, and embodied theology and worldview, drawing wisdom from other religions, perspectives, practices, and ways of being in the world.

We’re Multigenerational

We embrace the insights of every generation so that all ages can deepen their understanding of God and build lives filled with meaning, hope, and joy.
