Safe Church Policy

We want everyone to feel safe, be safe, stay safe.

Because we love our children and our most vulnerable members, we take their safety seriously — not as a formality, but as an act of care.

  • Everyone who works with children or youth is screened. Background checks are required for all staff and volunteers before they serve, and renewed regularly.

  • No one is ever alone with a child. At least two screened adults are present for all activities involving children or youth.

  • Our leaders are trained to recognize and respond to signs of abuse or neglect.

  • We follow Connecticut law. Any concern is reported promptly to DCF and/or law enforcement, alongside church leadership.

  • Spaces stay visible. Classrooms and activity areas are designed to be seen into, not shut off.
