Following Sunday’s service, we’re all invited to McCook Park in Niantic, at 12:00, where David Brule, one of the elders of the Nehantic People, will help us to understand the sacred significance of that land for his community. Foremost among the places on that site that David will show us is the Nehantic Burial Ground. This is a chance to experience our ordinary environment in a different way, seeing familiar places with new eyes. It’s also a chance to celebrate the Earth from a different vantage. Come and learn the important history of the region in which we all live.
