In March, Becky’s Bible Study will continue our weekly study of the Book of Revelation and the Old Testament writings that influenced the author. We will also look at the historical circumstances around the first century BCE, the symbolic references in the writing to perceived actual events, and how this time of instability and fear sparked apocalyptic thinking. Periodically, we will look at illustrations of Revelation from the “Cloister Apocalypse,” a 14th century English manuscript, and from 9th and 10th century illustrations of the “Beatus of Liébana.” I hope you will join us! All are welcome. We meet on Zoom every Thursday at 11 am. If you are not on Becky’s Bible Study Zoom email list and wish to be, please email her at rtcros@ftcrosby.com and she will add you to the list.
