The First Congregational Church of Old Lyme at 2 Ferry Rd. will host the always popular Elephants-in-Winter Sale on Saturday, Dec. 2, from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. and Sunday,  Dec. 3, from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. 

All holiday items collected during the intake for the White Elephant Sale held this past July will be arranged throughout the Sheffield Auditorium at the church and sold at bargain basement prices.

Those who have come to this sale before know from experience the vast assortment of treasures that await. Both new and gently-used, there are Christmas decorations, greens and wreaths, holiday china and glassware, linens and sweaters and stockings, toys, books, CD’s and DVD’s, paper goods, lights and candles and ornaments.

Come and shop, immerse yourselves in the holiday spirit, meet old acquaintances and make new friends. 

This sale is organized and staffed by members of the Ladies Benevolent Society, and all funds raised go to support local organizations that help to meet many needs in our communities.
