On Thursday, June 18th at 4:00 pm (Sponsored by Public Art for Racial Justice Education PARJE) there will be an afternoon of Poetry and Literary Prose by Randall Horton, in memory of the founder of PARJE, Rev. David Good.
PARJE began in 2021 after the murder of George Floyd and the subsequent protests in Old Saybrook. Reverend David W. Good helped bring together a group of concerned citizens including Rev. Jack Madry, Nancy Gladwell, Maryam Elahi, Jac Lahav, Kimberly Monson, George Willauer, Shiela Hayes, and Eddie Long along with many others from the Lyme / Old Lyme communities. Together this group came up with the idea of fighting for racial justice through art, developing many public art projects.
